A canine behaviourist assesses and modifies unwanted behaviours in dogs, such as reactivity, anxiety, excessive barking, or aggression. I use science-based, force-free methods to help dogs and their owners build confidence and communication.
I am a member of The Guild of Dog Trainers, signed up to the UK Dog Behaviour and Training Charter, and a member of the International Society for Animal Professionals. Additionally, I am a registered member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants.
I hold a Level 4 diploma in Canine Behavioural Science and am currently working towards Level 5 as part of my ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD). These qualifications, along with my memberships, ensure that I am up to date with the latest scientific research and best practices in canine behaviour.
Family Dogs is a business that has grown out of a passion and love for 'the family dog'.
Families come in all shapes and sizes and I'm here to support you and your dog to have the best relationship possible. My work is based on scientific research with a holistic approach to behavioural problems. It not only resolves the issues but also gives you insight as to what is causing them. I believe gentle training is most effective for both owners and their dogs. Every owner/dog relationship is unique and finding a solution to the issues you are facing can be stressful. I aim to provide you with an understanding of your dog's triggers, an actionable plan to manage the behaviours and provide you with support to execute this plan. Please don't hesitate to give me a ring or drop me an email to chat about how I might be able to help.
